Financial disclaimer
Last updated 15 August 2026.
Garden is not tax, legal, or financial advice. No CPA, enrolled agent, attorney, or other tax professional has reviewed or approved Garden's code, calculations, or output. Do not file or send a Garden document without checking it yourself or having a qualified professional check it.
Garden takes records you entered and uses them to create documents such as a profit and loss statement, net-worth statement, proof-of-income letter, tax preparer summary, SBA Form 413, Form W-9, Schedule C, and Schedule SE.
The catalogue also has an informational entry for Form 8829 and Form 1040-ES. Those two forms are planned; the current application does not generate them.

What you are responsible for
You are responsible for every number and statement you file or give to someone else.
Garden's output depends on its code, the records you supplied, their categories, the accounts and periods you selected, and the profile details you entered. A missing account, duplicate import, incorrect sign, wrong category, incomplete profile, unsupported tax fact, or software defect can make the result wrong.
Compare the output with source records and current instructions before you sign, file, or send it. A lender, landlord, tax authority, or other recipient will rely on what you submit, not on Garden's label.
Forms and rules change
Government forms, instructions, thresholds, and tax rules change. Garden fills the form revision bundled with that application build. Check the revision shown on the output and confirm that the recipient still accepts it. An offline copy does not update itself merely because an agency changes a form or rule.
Where this warning appears
Every downloadable PDF producer in Garden's document registry adds a shorter version of this warning to the output. The document output panel also displays the standard warning beside its generation controls. The test suite generates each available registry PDF and checks that the standard disclaimer text is present. Informational catalogue entries such as Form 8829 and Form 1040-ES have no PDF producer to test.
